"Allah - there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth; and the care of them burdens Him not;and He is the High, the Great." (2:256)

Praise be to ALLAH! who hath created the Heavens and the Earth , and hath appointed darkness and light.Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord.

Al-Bara Ibn `Azib (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated: "A man was reciting Surah Al-Kahf and his horse was tied with two ropes beside him. A cloud came down and spread over that man, and it kept on coming closer to him till his horse started jumping (as if afraid of something). When it was morning, the man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and told him about that incident. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "That was Al-Sakina (tranquility) which descended because of (the recitation of) the Qur-an."

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Anyone who has nothing of the Qur-an within him is like a ruined house." (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi who said, 'This is a good and authentic Hadith').

`Abdullah Ibn `Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The one who was devoted to the Qur-an will be told (on the Day of Resurrection) to recite carefully as he recited carefully when he was in the world, for he will reach his abode when he comes to the last verse he recites." (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Nasa'i, who said, 'It is a good and authentic Hadith).
